Find a Video on YouTube Similar To That of Alex Bag...

The video I chose represents Alex Bag not only in style of deadpan, but also in the form of a documentary on deviance. To expound further, I think that Bag portrayed a definitive message regarding her feelings about how people don't really understand her. She states that, "Artists are slightly less annoying than actors, who are the worst." Bag makes this contradictory statement in an effort to say that pretending to be someone you're not is socially corrupt, when at the same time, she is pretending by wearing wigs and being dramatic with her work. In a way, she says that society shouldn't just accept everything for the way it is and that to see the world from different perspectives is healthy. In the same manner, this video entitled, " RE:American discrimination" gives the same feelings. The girl at one point states, "Aren't we all supposed to be in the same boat?" signifying that others shouldn't downplay people for their choices. She also thinks that stereotypes are stupid, and that people who act proactively within society are the ones who truely represent our culture.
Summary: Alex Bag in comparison with the video I found resemble very similar qualities and thought processes. Both females are disgusted with the way we are fed information in our culture and the fact that few challenge it. It is not only the presentation that both of these women use to present their ideas, but also their willingness to challenge authority and the "cultural norms" that makes them unique.
